Native Android Survey App with online data syncing.
Research was being conducted that required input into multiple devices with results being stored in a central location online. The survey being conducted required forms that would allow for advanced form input types – sortable list via dragging and slider bars to indicate response. Unable to find this in existing applications I was approached to build a custom survey app.
The solution was built off a standard HTML Javascript form that is then parsed by the App. Results are stored locally within the device and synced automatically to a central database when an internet connection is available. The central database was built using WordPress so the admin can manage the survey responses and also create the form to be used within the app.
The app was packaged for Android using PhoneGap which would also allow deployment as a native app to other devices such as iPhone or iPad.
